Known Vulnerabilities

We owe our safety and security to the success of the ThotBot program. Participation is compulsory. Subversion is taken very seriously by The ULTRA. Possible threats are detailed below. If you believe you are living with a glitched ThotBot, visit your local ThotBot Implantation Center for a reboot. Information leading to the eradication of subversives will result in an increase to your Value.

  • GLITCH
  • The ThotBot operating system occasionally experiences glitches that corrupt the algorithm and/or negatively impact one’s Value. There are many causes for these glitches, including exposure to contraband (any item that evokes a memory or provokes an emotion), interactions with Unimplanted citizens or subversive ideas, participation in Resistance events and activities, and hacker attacks. Should you be concerned about the health of your ThotBot, take the glitch test to assess your situation. You may also contact your ULTRA Operative to schedule a reboot at a ThotBot Implantation Center. Take the Glitch Test

  • HACKERS
  • Certain programming vulnerabilities in the ThotBot operating system provide hackers with an entrypoint to your TBI. Once inside, they may steal your Value, program unwanted thoughts, or otherwise corrupt your device. A hacker may or may not attempt to establish contact with their victims to gain information used to execute the hack. If you suspect hacker activity, contact your ULTRA Operative. Information leading to the eradication of hackers will result in an increase to your Value.

  • CONTRABAND
  • Not long after the launch of the ThotBot program, The ULTRA learned that pre-Impact media and artifacts were causing operating system glitches. Movies, music, books, magazines, personal records, and even something as simple as an old calendar, were causing Bots to recall the past and experience tumultuous emotions. In an effort to protect Value, The ULTRA launched a campaign to collect and destroy all items found to provoke an emotion or evoke a memory. Should you be in possession of contraband, contact your ULTRA Operative so that it can be disposed of safely.

  • RESISTANCE
  • ThotBot is compulsory, contrary to the ideas espoused by Resistance forces. Recent intel points to an increase in Resistance-sponsored events, the goal of which are to intentionally glitch ThotBot operating systems. Do not attend. ULTRA Operatives are often at such events in an undercover capacity. To report someone who you suspect is operating without a ThotBot or generally resisting The ULTRA, contact your ULTRA Operative. Information leading to the eradication of subversives will result in an increase to your Value.
